Patrick Swayze gives up medication for cancer

PATRICK SWAYZE has reportedly stopped all medical treatment for his pancreatic cancer.

The Dirty Dancing star has been battling the illness for 12 months, but a family friend of the actor has revealed he's no longer going to fight it.

The friend said: "There’s nothing more doctors can do for him.

"We are down to the wire and the goal now is to keep Patrick comfortable.

"His condition is inoperable and they have stopped the chemo. He’s still losing weight and he’s very weak.’

"Patrick regards himself as a cowboy, and is determined to die with his boots on and no regrets."

LINDSAY LOHAN'S father MICHAEL has made another stinging attack on his daughter's girlfriend SAMANTHA RONSON.

Michael – who accused Samantha of trying to make money from the relationship last August - has begged the actress' fans to convince her to dump the lesbian DJ in his latest blog entry.

He said: “I am asking everyone out their to intervene in every way possible to help Lindsay, and quite possibly, save her life.

"Help this wonderful, good hearted and gifted young lady to see what SamMANtha is doing to her and how she is destroying her life.

“Help her to see that ever since SaMANtha came into her life, nothing good has come of it.

"As a matter of fact, Lindsay hasn't used her gifts like she did before meeting SaMANtha (sic).”

Michael – who has previously branded Samantha, 31, “controlling and manipulative” – adds Lindsay’s life has taken a “dark turn” since she became involved with the DJ, and even claims Samantha forced Lindsay to “abandon” her 15-year-old sister ALI in Los Angeles.

Referring to reports the couple had split earlier this year, he wrote: “After seeing promise and thanking God for Lindsay's freedom from SaMANtha's bondage, I see now, that since SaMANtha has once again, weaseled her way back into Lindsay's life, things have taken a dark turn.

“While I was enthused that Ali was with Lindsay, rather than SaMANtha, I am torn to see that SaMANtha has once again manipulated Lindsay into leaving her little sister in Los Angeles, only to join SaMANtha on another DJ gig in Boston (sic).”

KIM KARDASHIAN reckons JESSICA SIMPSON looks better than ever - thanks to her new curvier figure.

Playboy favorite Kim, famous for her voluptuous body, was commenting on photos of the Dukes Of Hazzard star flaunting her new fuller figure over the weekend.

Kim told People magazine: "Call me crazy, but when I saw the picture [inset] I was like, 'Oh my God, Jessica looks hot!'

"I get that she does look curvier, but to me, there's nothing wrong with it."

Jessica's weight has been one of the most talked about subjects in Hollywood this week.

It wasn't long ago that the Newlyweds star was considered one of the sexiest stars in Tinseltown, mainly thanks to her role as hotpants queen Daisy Duke in the 2005 movie.

Jessica sang the film's soundtrack, These Boots Are Made For Walkin', and although the song was pretty forgettable, the video was not.

Her car wash scene, in which she wore a tiny pink bikini, is regarded as one of the hottest ever and became a bigger hit than the film itself.

However, since Jessica's been focusing on her new career in country music, she appears to have put on a few pounds and now sports a fuller figure.

But, according to Kim, there's nothing wrong with that.

"It doesn't really bother me anymore. I love curves. Being super skinny just isn't attractive to me, " she added.

"When I saw that picture, I knew everyone was going to say something. And I thought, 'You know what? Leave Jessica alone!'

"She's fabulous, she's a really sweet girl, and I admire her for putting up with it."

Patrick McDermott, who had filed for bankruptcy shortly before he went missing, has been accused of staging his own death to clear debts.

Investigators for US show Dateline say they've tracked him down by setting up a fake website called findpatrickmcdermott.com.

They claim he has regularly logged onto the site in a bid to stay ahead of the search, giving away his location through his computer's IP address.

He is believed to be on a boat travelling along the Mexican coastline.

‘He's alive - there's no doubt in my mind, this guy's alive,’ says lead investigator Richard Klein.

‘The rule of thumb is always this - when you're running you are always looking over your shoulder and we're going to catch him looking at us.’

Olivia, 60, dated Patrick for nine years before he disappeared at sea in June 2005.

She is now married to 49-year-old millionaire John Easterling.

Kicking off the inauguration festivities a few days early, Jessica Alba made a special trip to Washington, DC for a “Declare Yourself” event on January 18.

The gala, themed “Rebirth of Citizenship,” featured performers including John Legend and guest DJ SamRo, with a slew of celebs ranging from LiLo, Jamie Foxx and Hayden Panettiere in attendance. After Jessica’s provocative “Declare Yourself” ads showing her silenced with a muzzle, it was nice to see Jess looking radiant again as she posed for the paps with her hubby Cash Warren.

What do you all think of the overall look? The dress is undeniably a great color on her, but I think if the tights were sheer vs opaque the look would have been a little less childlike.

At the event, Jess spoke to the press about the strides made during the election by “Declare Yourself” and other orgs: "I believe that every organization that was trying to get people to vote and get people to register that never had before, whether it was the youth, whether it was just new voters, people who didn't believe in the system, this campaign and all the other campaigns — they believe now.

They made a difference." I have to completely agree – I think we all believe in the power of the vote a little more now that we’ve seen the great strides made in this election. I’m not sure if we should credit celebs like Jessica for motivating us to make it the polls, but her efforts and others have inspired me to make a difference over the next four years. Mischa Barton was spotted earlier today, January 26, heading into the Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2009 at the Musee Rodin in Paris, France, looking the best I'd say we've seen her in a while!

It looks at though she's lost a bit of weight, and I like her flirty hairstyle. Mischa chose a bright yellow frock (for a more subdued style, check out LaROK's Cup de Jour Dress in Nude) under a white (faux?) fur shawl (take a look at Qi's Cashmere Ruffled Cocoon Shawl in White), and carried along a classic black clutch (similar to Julie K Handbag's Sasha Clutch in Black Glaze).

MB accessorized with funky golden heels, smoky Cleopatra eyes and multiple oversized rings (check out Femme Metale Jewelry's Floral Heart Ring in Silver).

What do you think of Mischa's style here - it's not as bad as usual, right? While MB has often taken a lot of heat for her fashion risks (that usually tend to be fashion disasters), she is speaking out about her own personal style. She says, "I think it’s cooler when girls look themselves, so I don’t fuss too much about the way I look – I really dress for me.

I think it’s important as a girl that the way you dress and the way you look are for yourself and you’re not just trying to please other people all the time."

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their six children - Maddox Chivan, 7, Pax Thien, 5, Zahara Marley, 4, Shiloh Nouvel, 2 , and fraternal twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline, 6 months - touched down at Narita International Airport where they were welcomed by screaming fans. The jet-setting superstars arrived in Japan to promote their movies ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ and `Changeling’ just one day after the SAG awards in Los Angeles. In the past two weeks the pair and the family have been to Paris, Germany, Los Angeles and Tokyo.
